Kick-Off Party

RedScare.gif

Ohana’s Bunker Busting Fallout Freakshow Red Menace Madness Kick Off Party!!

Yes, this year’s kickoff party will take place inside a 1950s/60s Cold War era Fall Out shelter.  Think “duck and cover”, canned foods, irradiated mutants, prom-in-a-bunker, and you’re on the right track of what to expect (and how to dress accordingly).

So, throw on that radiation jump suit, grab some potable water (or use the ice from your drink), and get ready to rock.

And who could possibly lead this “red-scare” party of apocalyptic proportions?

How about none other than Igor & The Red Elvises!!!!!

The kickoff party is included with your Ohana ticket, so be sure to get out to the Lake early and join the Ohana Civil Defense Administration as we twist and frug the night away.

As always costumes are SUPER encouraged (with prizes for the top two costumes we remember through the haze), and surprises and shenanigans are guaranteed.  Be there, or be (red) square.

Ohana Mystery Bowl Auction
Sponsored by El Dorado Rum and Trader Vic's

Woman carrying a Trader Vics bowl.

In addition to our marvelous silent auction, some very special members of the Fraternal Order of Moai also help us to raise money in a unique and wonderful live auction for the Mystery Bowl! In homage to the Mystery Girls of the classic restaurants the Kahiki and the Mai Kai, the mystery bowl, a bowlful of a delicious and potent tropical cocktail, is auctioned off live on Saturday night at Ohana, and presented with a wonderful (and sometimes zany) dance by one of our own Moai. The bowl is the high bidder’s to keep, as well as the cocktail inside, serving four or more. A new recipe for this delectable cocktail is custom created each year for the event.

All proceeds from this live auction go directly to scholarships for college students of indigenous Rapa Nui descent

RoomCrawl

Ohana Room Crawl

Exotic libations served up by your friends with a generous dose of creativity, and over-the-top decor!

The Room Crawl is a Round Robin of cocktails and noshables served up by our attendees purely in the spirit of Aloha. They mix the drinks, decorate their rooms, and roll out the red carpet for everyone, all out of the goodness of their hearts. Remember to tip! And a reminder as you crawl... Its a marathon, not a sprint.
